What does Somatic Coaching Involve?
Somatic Coaching empowers folk to get back into their bodies, creating new neural pathways to help break old habits. As a multidisciplinary bodyworker, Anthony takes the overlapping teachings of classical voice training, breath training, various movement disciplines, improvisation, massage bodywork modalities, reiki and sexological bodywork to provide a truly unique and tailored experience.
Every session is different and informed by the needs of the client. By learning tools you take into your erotic/sexual practices and your everyday life, you expand your level of awareness of your body and others. This practice is for anyone who’s curious to reunite their body with their mind in order to have a more expansive and pleasurable life.
Together we might play simple games and exercises to practice concepts you’re curious about, undertake touch or non touch based practices or simply chat through ideas and concepts that are on your mind.
During a session you can expect:
To chat about what you are experiencing in your erotic life. Any relevant history or concerns which weigh in on your experience.
To set intentions for the session - something to keep us on track and tether to an outcome during the practice. It's all about learning.
To do an exercise or physical practice. Based on the intention, boundaries and set up, I will suggest one or two options for practice - whether it be touch based, meditation, breathing, dancing. There are limitless possibilities.
Installation. A period of rest follows the practice in order for the body to integrate each session’s learnings. A few minutes to relax and do nothing.
A debrief chat happens after session, followed by some suggestions to keep the learning happening outside the treatment room. Practice makes perfect.
